We were milling about
the San Francisco Airport shortly before boarding the plane
to Kauai, one of the lushest islands of Hawaii. Months of
growing excitement had passed, dreams of things to come and
hopes to enter a new world. The mysterious world of Dolphins
had captured our hearts and we were about to enter into a
reality hitherto unknown to us.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, flight number 258 to Honolulu
has been delayed until further notice due to a technical
problem. We hope to be departing in a few hours." The
voice coming through the loudspeakers broke my reverie.
A groan filled the air around us. I slowly opened my eyes
to meet Don’s gentle gaze who had also been absorbed
in his inner world. How did we get this lucky? Blue luminous
light shone forth from his inner being, sensing my every
thought and feeling. Enveloped by a knowingness, we often
communicated telepathically. ‘Did we like what we
just heard?’ we wondered simultaneously.
Don said playfully. "Ooops, I think we are in the
wrong universe, this would put us into Honolulu by late
evening and we would miss our connection to Kauai."
I agreed by nodding and added, "Let’s switch
into another universe."
We had been reading and hearing about new ideas from quantum
physics. Instead of only one single reality, it has been
postulated that innumerable realities existed in parallel
to one another. Many possible universes are happening all
at once in the same space, separated only by frequencies.
But this new worldview was not popular knowledge yet.
The old worldview of a clockwork universe was Newton’s
idea. This world functioned orderly, predictably and was
independent of any thought, feeling or consciousness. But
the orderly, mechanical view of the universe had its price.
Manipulating the wheels of the clock was all the excitement
that was left for the human race. The results of the manipulation
of nature are visible everywhere and have reached a dangerous
degree, threatening our very survival.
All this humans had achieved by organizing the understanding
of the universe in a mechanical manner, but at what a price!
Most people have learned to believe that they are simply
a wheel in the machine and what they think does not matter
much. The accumulation of power and more control is often
the only way to feel the human impact in this three dimensional
world.
This Newtonian universe was more than boring. It was outright
devoid of the possibility of adventure, and is showing signs
of endangering the very life we depend upon.
Quantum physics began to change that. It was hypothesized
that an observing consciousness, in other words a being
with awareness, is an integral factor which makes the universe
tick. It is the torch light of attention which gives shape
to the many possibilities of manifestation. It is attention
which can bring about the manifestation of one of the many
parallel universes.
An experiment finally put an end to this hypothesis which
had plagued the scientific world during Einstein’s
lifetime. It was proven that information travels faster
than the speed of light, and that photon particles seem
to communicate to each other the intended outcome a particular
scientist was looking for at this higher speed. It is known
as the EPR experiment and was originally postulated by Einstein,
Podolsky and Rosen to prove that light was traveling at
the absolute limit in the physical universe. In 1985 the
experiment was put into action and proved the exact opposite.
Something did travel faster than the speed of light, and
it also reflected the expectation of the observer of an
experiment.
Quantum physics was not the only agency which accepted
that consciousness interacted with the world around us.
It was just a new version of knowledge that seers from all
cultures had known and practiced since time immemorial.
As we sat stunned by the announcement of the delayed flight
I wondered, ‘Did this delay have purpose? Was it a
test as to how well we behaved like sheep, believing ourselves
to be the obvious victims of circumstance?’
"OK," Don said, " let’s shift into
another universe." Both Don and I closed our eyes and
began practicing what we had learned.
Sinking deeper into my inner sense of being, I began seeing
that everything is interconnected. I was enveloped by a
sense of liquid light. Everyone around me was part and parcel
of why things were the way they happened to be. I moved
further up in my inner vision, and a larger part of the
picture began showing. I approached the level from where
we make choices. Here I could choose to be in one of the
other possible and parallel realities. More and more luminous
light filled my inner vision. Then I saw a snapshot in my
mind of how I actually wanted to choose my experience to
be. The airplane is perfect, I see the energy pattern adjusting
around the fuselage and the engines. I feel we are in a
perfectly timed universe. I am willing to be at ease and
fly when the time is right, when it is in harmony with all
that is and for the highest purpose of all concerned. Bingo,
I can feel it. It is true in my heart. Now.
I blinked my eyes open, quickly letting go of all feelings
of trying, of wanting, of wishing, and I simply noticed
my environment.
All right! I enjoyed being able to choose my universe.
Who said that life is what it appears to be? But what learning
it had been just to get to this point! How many times did
I wince at the doubtful thought ‘What if I am just
pretending?’ How many times had the angels shuddered,
watching me undo my own miracles in a few seconds of doubt.
Barely five minutes later another announcement filled the
air. "Ladies and Gentlemen," a bright voice sounded
through the loudspeaker, "we are happy to announce
that our technicians were able to locate the problem and
repair it. We will begin boarding in a few minutes."
We jumped up and down. Yeah!! Life is not what it seems!
Switching Universes. We are getting the hang of it!
Wisdom of the Dolphins
by Ilona Selke
"The next step in our human evolution is to recognize
our own power of co-creation. We are learning to work at
the drawing board of creation by taping our hightened states
of awareness. By learning from dolphins we may
make our next step."
Ilona Selke's book, "Wisdom of the Dolphins" explores the journey of conscious
co-creation. In the book she describes her experiences with
dolphins, their transformative powers, telepathy, and the
workings of the holographic universe through practical methods
and applications of the intuitive mind.
